Among the negative moments of economic situation in Ukraine the problem of the non-payments and, accordingly, indebtedness must be mentioned. According to the statistics:
The accounts receivable between enterprises of Ukraine for July, 2001 grew by 1,9 per cent and on August 1, 2001 has reacheded 201913,9 million HUA. For the same period the accounts payable decreased to 0,11 per cent and on August 1, 2001 reached 234153,5 million hrn.
The State budget accounts receivable on wages and social payments makes (in August, 2001) 733,2 million HUA, or 0,37 per cent of the GDP-;
The indebtedness of the local budgets on wages and social payments (as at September 1, 2001) makes - 10,6 million HUA.
4,1 million Ukrainian citizens did not receive wages in time. The debt amount due on one worker made on the average 849 HUA.

The indebtedness of the local budgets for natural and condensed gas, electrical energy and housing services has reached 1835 million HUA (as of September 1, 2001) and has grown from a beginning of the year by 199 million HUA.
Another
negative factor is: short-reception of means from privatization of
the state-owned properties in January, - August 2001. This fact did not
give possibility to execute planned parametres of a profitable part of
the State budget pool fund in a full volume.
However,
general tendency of Ukrainian economic growth, especially in January - September, 2001, has resulted resuscitation of all branches of economy, including private sector. During January - July, 2001 Ukrainian firms and unterprises have received financial outcome from customary activity before the taxation in the sum of 14585,3 million HUA, that exceeds the similar parameter of 2000 in 2,4 times.
Above-mentioned indexes will not be full without the data Basic indexes of an economical and social development of Ukraine for 1996-2000.
