The relation
between Ukraine and the Czech Republic have a long-lived history.
These relations
were especially intensive during the period, when Czechoslovak Socialist
Republic was the member of Council of Economic Assistance (CEA) and of the
Warsaw Treaty. As is known, on that time Ukraine was one of Republics of
the Soviet Union. |

During this
period between the USSR and Czech end Slovak SR was signed a lot of the
intergovernmental agreements, the main of which were about friendship,
cooperation and mutual assistance.
With acquisition
of independence by Ukraine (in 1991) and originating of the Czech Republic
(in 1992) the history of intergovernmental relations between two independent
states began.
A lot of
the intergovernmental
agreements and minutes between Ukraine and the Czech Republic were
signed for today. In particular, about friendship and cooperation (in 1994),
about fostering and
mutual protection of the investments (in 1994),
about a mutual
provision of employment of the citizens (in 1996), about
cooperation in the
field of a transactions and seizure (in 1996), about
granting of the
credits for financing export of the goods and services from the Czech
Republic to Ukraine (in 1997) and number of others. |
